Saturday, June 16 2018 has been designated the Seventh-day Adventist Church's second annual "World Refugee Sabbath".
This day has been set aside to raise awareness of the needs of the more than 20 million people who have been displaced from their homes due to civil unrest and persecution.
Churches, groups, families and individuals are invited to participate using the resources made available on this site and well as by exploring the information and stories shared by the Adventist Development and Relief Agency.
ADRA has made available information, stories, facts and photos on this subject to help further a broader understanding of refugees and to challenge some of the misconceptions around the topic.
World Refugee Sabbath is June 16 and World Refugee Day is Wednesday, June 20. There are plenty of ways that your church (or just you!) can show your support.
