ADRA Belgium started a collection of Christmas presents for children in Ukraine

ADRA Belgium started their Christmas box campaign in 2022, motivating people to donate gifts for the children who are victims of the war in Ukraine.

The conflict in Ukraine is far from over, and the needs on the ground are still enormous. More than 5.5 million children have been affected by this unprecedented crisis: schools are closed, and learning capacity is heavily affected by constant exposure to trauma.

“At ADRA, we want to bring joy to these children, who are in extremely difficult circumstances. That’s why we’re going for an online Christmas box campaign again this year. A great opportunity to put a smile on the faces of the children who are victims of the war in Ukraine!” ADRA Belgium explains the reasons for the campaign.

Each box, delivered to underprivileged children, will contain at least five items. Donators can choose items from five categories: toys, school supplies, clothes, hygiene and sweets. From cars, coloured pencils, teddy bears, puzzles and balls to socks, mittens, hats, underwear, shampoo, soap and chocolate.

Donators can also personalize their box. Messages of encouragement will be added to the box. With the help of ADRA Ukraine, the Christmas boxes will be given to the children in orphanages in Ukraine.
