ADRA Slovakia sent generators to hospitals in Ukraine
ADRA Slovakia launched a collection of electricity generators for Ukrainian hospitals in war-torn cities. The first twelve generators left Slovakia, heading to the city of Irpin.
Attacks on critical infrastructure plunged Ukraine into darkness. However, hospitals cannot function without electricity, and the interruption of emergency operations directly threatens the lives of thousands of people.
The electric generator is a backup energy source for the most endangered hospital departments – operating theatres and ICUs. The supply of electricity to these wards is vital for patients.
The total value of the generator with a power of approx. 9 KW is 5000 €.
ADRA Slovakia’s team will arrive in Ukraine on January 2, 2023, and will help distribute generators and humanitarian aid packages.
