Women holding the households receive aid packages in Černivci
Another 250 internally displaced families in Černivci received food aid and hygiene needs packages from ADRA Slovakia. The recipients of the aid packages are mainly women (54%), who have had to take full responsibility for the livelihoods and running of their households since the beginning of the war.
ADRA Slovakia has already sent 7,920 aid packages to Ukraine, to recipients in the towns and villages of Buča, Irpin, Vinica, Myrocke, Chernihiv, Vorzel, Blistavica, Babinci, Gostomel, Zdviživka.
ADRA Slovakia makes sure that the help is given to the most vulnerable groups – mothers with children, single seniors, and people with special needs. They praise their Ukrainian colleagues at ADRA Ukraine for their excellent work at constantly monitoring the needs of people in various cities and towns and identifying the most vulnerable, to whom they then hand over aid packages.
In addition to the distribution of material assistance in the form of food and hygiene packages, ADRA Ukraine also provides material assistance for medical facilities, evacuation of residents from endangered and bombed places, psycho-social support, and assistance in finding temporary and permanent accommodation, as well as multi-purpose financial assistance.
