Equipment for treating burns for the hospitals in Kherson and Chernivtsi

At the end of the last year, ADRA Ukraine handed over vacuum apparatuses for treating complex traumatic wounds and burns to hospitals in Kherson and Chernivtsi.

With the support of ADRA Sweden, ADRA Ukraine delivered vacuum therapy devices and consumables for wound treatment. The Kherson hospitals received seven apparatuses, and one was for the Chernivtsi city hospital. The total value of the equipment is 16 000 euros.

“Since it is practically impossible to purchase this medical equipment in Ukraine, the help received has become extremely important, especially in martial law conditions,” an ADRA Ukraine representative explained.

In connection with active hostilities on the territory of Ukraine, more and more people with severe wounds or burns are admitted to hospitals. Thanks to vacuum apparatuses, the rehabilitation process of patients is significantly accelerated, the wound is cleaned efficiently, and there is no need for frequent dressing changes.
