Children overcoming anxiety with Art therapy

On World Day of People with Disabilities, psychologists from ADRA Ukraine visited the Novoborivsk Orphanage-Boarding Home for Girls, located in Zhytomyr. They organised activities for pupils, using Art therapy to overcome anxiety.

Specialists conducted an art therapy class with schoolgirls to overcome anxiety during an air alert. Psychologists also familiarised the girls with crucial methods of emotional calming and overcoming stress for people with special psycho-emotional development.

As we reported, psycho-social support workshops are one of the most important ways to help vulnerable groups in general, even more in crisis and stressful situations.

The training was a part of the ADRA Ukraine project, which the German Federal Foreign Office supports. The priority areas of this project are the provision of financial aid, psychological support, provision of social transportation and evacuation.
