Ensuring warmth in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions

With the support of the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund, ADRA Ukraine has helped equip warming centres in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions. ADRA also distributed 124 tons of solid fuel to the population of the frontline communities.

These territories have been under occupation for a long time – most buildings are destroyed, and some settlements in the communities are still under shelling. That is why the local authorities turned to ADRA Ukraine with a request to help equip heating points that are primarily needed for the most vulnerable categories of the population living in the region – people with disabilities, people with reduced mobility, older people, and families with children.

Residents of the Zelenodol community of the Dnipropetrovsk region received Bullerjan calorific furnaces in three warming centres. The centres will provide a safe and warm place for the residents to warm themselves during the winter.

ADRA also responded to the request of the Toretsk military-civilian administration and brought calorific furnaces for the Center for Primary Health Care in Toretsk.

ADRA provided fifteen stoves to install heating points in the Izium and Chuhuiv territorial communities of the Kharkiv region.

The provision of warming centres in the communities is significant, as there is no water, gas or central heating due to constant rocket fire, and the electricity supply is critical.

ADRA assisted in preparing premises for warming centres located in the buildings of rural dispensaries in villages such as Pivnichnyi settlement, Zaliznyi, Shcherbynovtsi settlement and New York settlement of Donetsk region.

ADRA also distributed 124 tons of solid fuel to the population of the frontline communities. One hundred twenty-four households in the Sviatogorsk community of Donetsk region received the support.
